The t-shirt brand Abcdesign that I created a few years ago has just died. It was a lot of fun working on it, one of my first projects that had a short but decent life. Abcdesign was in the Bread and Butter show and mostly sold in BCN. But after sad news always come good news. I am ready to launch, together with the partner/investor in Abcdesign, Jordi Galopa, a new line of t-shirts, hoods, flipflops and backpacks that will most likely be called SantaMonica. I have always loved this name and Jordi loves it, so I guess that’s the new brand I will be messing around with for a while. Will see how it evolves, but the first goal is to be in the next Bread and Butter show next July in Barcelona.
Some images of the deceased Abcdesign for the memories.
Delicate and exquisite taste and sensitivity. That’s what AC Berkheiser (graphic designer/book artist), among other ingredients, has used to create this new graphic design studio in New York: The North Sea Division. Soon we will be able to sail through her website and discover wonderful design pieces and great book designs.
markbrooksgraphikdesign is about to relaunch its website with updated content, a new logo and a very simple navigation. Mike Macchione is working his magic on it. Will keep you posted.
Glamour wears yellow high heels. She is Kristy Martino. She loves the eighties and so do I. Just see if you can catch her playing live somewhere in NY and if you are lucky you’ll have a nice chat with her after the show. We designers who love the eighties are your fans.
Yes, that’s the blog of Mike Macchione. He will soon start developing his personal website where you will be able to admire his design and photography skills. In the meantime, if you want to know more about this great man’s design go see his work at www.catch24design.com in New York City. He is a very eclectic designer: Print Design, Interactive Design, 3D Design, Photography… you name it. What? Knitting? Probably that too…
Well, Melou, a young band which components are mostly from the States, are in Barcelona recording their second album. This man here typing has designed the posters for some gigs, a single of their first record and will soon be working on the design for their second album called Battery Park. Budget? zero. Enough to get this thing printed and running. But we love music, that’s all we care about right here right now.
Plus, if they get real big, one day maybe they will dedicate one song to the designer in a packed Wembley Arena and I will be playing air guitar for a month dwelling on my few seconds of glory in the hot sun.
Check out their music on iTunes or on www.melou-music.com
Well… my first blog… so much expectation and I suddenly have nothing big to say… I guess the “welcome” these guys had as the default word was there for some reason, so… WELCOME. I should probably introduce myself too. I am the dude on the picture above. Done. Except for Republican propaganda I would love this place to be a nice mean to share all sorts of stuff (to type words is all I have figured out how to do so far). So please feel free to add your part.
